Vacation Bids
Pursuant to Article 17.02 of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, the Employer will post a Vacation Sign-up block during the period of October 1 through October 21 of each year. During this window, employees may bid on desired vacation dates within the following Contract/Calendar Year. Any Blackout Dates, described in Article 17, must be posted along with the sign-up block and no vacations may be bid covering these dates. Blackout dates determined at a later date will not affect vacations awarded during this period. Should you choose not to bid vacation during this time, you may request vacation at a later date, however vacations awarded during this period are not subject to bump privileges. Additionally, there are limits regarding how many drivers or shop personnel can be on vacation at one time.
