Today, Robert Duggan submitted his letter of resignation. Effective immediately, we will be accepting nominations for the position. Currently, the senior vice chairperson is Lem Austin, who will be handling issues until such time as elections take place. The elected individual will complete the current term, which runs through December 2009. Anyone wishing to declare their candidacy for this office can print and circulate a nomination form. These forms, to be submitted on or before our next regular meeting, must possess a minimum of five (5) member signatures. Members signing these petitions must be dues current in good standing. Additionally, nominations can be made from the floor of the meeting.

Our next regular meeting will be Wednesday, December 10 at the Tukwila Community Center. In January, we will be resuming our regular meeting schedule back at the Aerospace Machinists Hall.
