Bereavement Fund

Some time ago, Local 161 established a bereavement fund maintained by our secretary-treasurer, for the sole and exclusive use of purchasing cards, flowers, & gifts for those facing sudden illness or loss. To date, this fund has been supported by donations from those attending the Union Meetings. As most of you know, these meetings are attended by the same group of individuals, month in and month out. While these select few have willingly carried the burden, the recent epidemic of surgery, illness, and the like, the fund has been seriously depleted.

If you simply haven’t the time to attend a meeting, donations to this fund can be made by check payable to UTU Local 161, indicating Bereavement Fund in the memo section. Your donations will be greatly appreciated.
