A grievance was filed by the Union and a hearing was held on Tuesday January 18th to address the new Gray Line uniforms. As a result of that hearing the company and the union have agreed that the yellow uniforms will be optional. Employees that operate the airport service will have the option to wear the traditional Gray Line uniform (white shirt, gray slacks and a tie) or the optional uniform (yellow shirt, gray slacks and no tie). In the past the optional uniform was authorized for summertime use only. Employees are now authorized to wear the optional uniform on a year-round basis.
The new uniform is designed to help the airport service and employees operating said service, to stand out from the other Gray Line services, especially in the downtown area. With that in mind it is recommended that an employee performing two services in the day should wear the traditional Gray Line uniform on those days.
