Gray Line Safety Director, Geoff Bonar reported today that safety bonus amounts for period ending April 30, 2006 were signed on by himself and Mollie Jones on Friday, June 9th. The figures were delivered to Ray Murray in accounting on Monday, June 12th. Assuming all things normal, there should be time to turn the checks with the upcoming pay date, June 20th.
While this seems to be an excessive amount of time, know that since the inception of the safety bonus, the checks have been issued anywhere from 14 days to 4 months after the period cut-off. At least we finally have some definitive time frame as to when we should expect our monies.
Well, by now you know the safety bonuses were not paid with the 4/20/06 paychecks. If Ray Murray received the information on June 12th, there can be no explanation for checks not being cut and distributed by the next payday! Paul may have more information upcoming.
