Local 161 is looking to expand its staff. At the November meeting, we will be accepting nominations for Additional Vice-Chairpersons. These individuals would be responsible for representing fellow members in grievances and related work issues, as well as supporting the Local/General Committee of Adjustment. The local treasury fund reimburses officers for lost wages due to performing the functions of Vice Chairperson. All current Union Members, Full or Part Time are eligible to run for these offices. From these nominations, and election will be held in the near future.

Especially important to our Part Time members, you are listed as E-49 for the month(s) you do not work. During these months, you are not assessed dues. Our Constitution states only dues current members are eligible to vote in election matters, therefore if you wish to exercise your right to vote - and I hope you do - you need to get together with Secretary-Treasurer Ingersoll and pay your November dues ASAP. Our dues are always paid in advance, therefore November dues must be paid in full Prior to October 31. The same will hold true for any elections pertaining to Vice Chairpersons.

Additionally, our elections are conducted through mail ballots. It is essential that Brother Ingersoll have your current mailing address for you to receive a ballot. Please do not assume the Company has "Shared" change of address information with the Union. You must confirm your address with Wayne. Three ways to do this are:

  1. Contact Wayne directly with your current information.
  2. Written information placed in Paul Schneider's locker will be forwarded to Wayne.
  3. Use the feedback form on this website. Complete all mailing information and send it. I will forward the information directly to Brother Ingersoll.

Personal information is never shared outside the local. This website does not subscribe to any ads, therefore no unwarranted mail, e-mail, or phone calls will occur.
