The Constitution requires that candidates receive a "majority of votes cast" to be declared winner. Eighty valid ballots were returned, of which eleven were currently E-49 status. Those ballots could not be opened. My ballot, as president remains unopened per the constitution which says the President does not vote in matters of the local unless casting a tie breaker. Of the remaining sixty-eight ballots, a winner would be required to receive thirty-five votes.
Ballots counted as follows:
| Karen Francisco | Pascale Jamieson | Jan Swisher | ||||||||
| 16 | 25 | 27 | ||||||||
The Constitution requires ballots be reissued listing the two candidates that received the most votes. Ballots will be prepared and mailed by Monday, May 17th and must be postmarked for return by June 1st for counting on June 3rd. With only two candidates, we will have a new Secretary-Treasurer June 3rd.
