Re:             Bids for Nov. 1 to Jan. 4

When figuring out bids, I was under the assumption that the “bridge hours” between moves were not counted.  We adopted that rule with a Letter of Agreement for this past summer.  I was unaware of the expiration date when going through the bidding process.

The company wishes to keep all bids, inclusive of paid hours between moves, to a maximum of 45 hours to limit their exposure to overtime during the slower times of the year.  This affected quite a few drivers.

As a result, the company wishes to go through the bids and adjust those totaling over 45 paid hours.  As the Company goes through the roster, changes made to some drivers’ bids will affect junior drivers’ bids.  Those affected drivers will then have a chance to adjust their bids.

I apologize for not remembering that the Letter of Agreement expired.  By making these adjustments, we will now conform to the CBA.  I am very sorry if this has affected you in a negative way.

Sincerely,

Paul
