Re: Checking Your Personnel Files

The union requests that all drivers schedule an appointment to view their Personnel Files. It is your RIGHT to inspect your files. In the past, there have been instances where the files contained letters that the employee was not aware of. Many companies have yearly reviews where employees are allowed to do this. It keeps things up-to-date and improves communication between workers and supervisors

When you have your appointment, a company manager will need to be with you as you go through the file. If there are any documents that you feel should not be in your file, you can ask the manager to remove them. If the manager refuses to do that, you should contact a union Vice-Chairperson to assist you.
